Looking for Thoughts on the S&W Equalizer 9mm Review

Seeking Insights on the S&W Equalizer 9mm

Hey everyone,
I’m considering purchasing the Smith & Wesson Equalizer 9mm and I’m looking for some detailed feedback or reviews from those who have experience with it. I want to know how it performs in real-life scenarios, especially in terms of usability, reliability, and suitability for personal defense and concealed carry.

Key Points to Discuss:

  • Performance: How does it handle on the range? Any issues with recoil or accuracy?
  • Features: What do you think about its safety features and ease of operation? Is it beginner-friendly?
  • User Experience: If you’ve carried it, how comfortable is it for everyday use?
  • Value for Money: Would you say it’s worth the price considering its capabilities?
  • Comparison: How does it stack up against other 9mm options out there?

If anyone has links to professional reviews or can share their own personal experiences, that would be super helpful! Thanks in advance for your input!

Looking forward to your thoughts!

I’ve recently shot the S&W Equalizer 9mm, and I was impressed with its accuracy. It performed well in terms of grouping and recoil management. Much better than some of the compact models I’ve tried.

That’s great to hear! How does it compare to your Glock 19? I’m looking for something a bit more compact.

I find the S&W Equalizer’s ergonomic design really helps with control during shooting, especially for follow-up shots. It’s quite different from my old Sig.

Absolutely! My Springfield XD-S felt more rigid by comparison. The Equalizer just feels more natural in hand.

Does anyone know if the Equalizer supports aftermarket sights? I’m considering upgrades for better precision. Just curious!

I had similar thoughts, but I haven’t found many options yet. It might be worth checking with S&W directly for recommendations.

Good call! They often have insights on aftermarket parts. I’m hoping this doesn’t turn into another ‘just buy a Glock’ debate!

The Equalizer’s double-stack magazine really impressed me! I felt confident with an extra round or two compared to my single-stack models.

Totally! Does anyone feel like the extra bulk affects the concealed carry aspect though?

I’ve been carrying mine for a few months, and while it’s a bit thicker, I hardly notice it. Comfort is key, right?

That’s a relief! My buddy said he felt it wasn’t as comfortable. I guess everyone’s different. Got to find what works for you!

I’ve had the chance to handle the S&W Equalizer 9mm, and I found the grip size to be quite accommodating. It’s not too bulky but provides a solid hold, which really helps with recoil control.

I agree! The weight distribution on this firearm feels balanced, making it easy to manage during shooting. Anyone else feel the same?

The recoil management was impressive for a 9mm. It felt manageable, even during rapid fire. Definitely a plus for beginner shooters!

I felt that too! It’s like the design really focuses on making shooting enjoyable rather than just effective.

I found the grip texture to also play a role in comfort. It has an excellent grip that doesn’t slip easily, even when sweating a bit during shooting sessions.

That’s a good point! A secure grip definitely contributes to overall handling. I also liked the weight; it felt just right for extended use.

I’m curious about the size of the grip for those with smaller hands. Did anyone find it hard to reach the trigger comfortably?

It’s surprisingly comfortable, even for those with smaller hands! I was able to get a good grip and reach the trigger without any issues.
