Seeking Feedback on PMC X-TAC 5.56 62 Grain Green Tip Ammo
I’m currently looking into the PMC X-TAC 5.56 62 grain green tip ammunition and wanted to gather some thoughts from anyone who has experience using it. I’m particularly interested in its performance, reliability, and how well it suits different shooting scenarios.
Key Points to Consider:
Accuracy: How does it perform on the range? Is it consistent at various distances?
Reliability: Any issues with feeding or jamming during use? How does it function in different firearms?
Comparative Performance: How does the PMC X-TAC compare against other similar loads, especially in terms of value for money?
Usage Scenarios: Have you used it for tactical applications, hunting, or just range shooting? How did it hold up?
Recoil and Feel: What’s the shooting experience like? Is it comfortable to shoot for extended periods?
Additionally, if anyone has tips on where to find the best prices or stock availability, that would be appreciated. I’m eager to make an informed decision before I purchase my next batch!
I’ve been using PMC X-TAC 62 grain green tip in my AR-15 and it’s performed very well. I get tight groupings at 100 yards, usually around 1-1.5 inches. Highly recommend it for target practice!
No jams for me! PMC X-TAC has been reliable each time I’ve used it. And it cycles smoothly too. Just be prepared for a bit more recoil compared to lighter rounds.
I’ve used them for home defense training and they performed well during the drills. Good penetration and they expand decently, so definitely a strong recommend!
I find them to be solid for practice, but I’d stick to something else for home defense. Rounds tend to penetrate a bit too much in typical home settings.
I’ve used PMC X-TAC 5.56 62 grain green tip for a while now. Its velocity is around 3025 fps, which is competitive for this ammo class. The energy is solid too, making it efficient for a variety of applications.
The trajectory is quite flat up to about 300 yards. It’s notable for its accuracy. If you’re looking at other options, the Federal and Winchester variants are similar, but the PMC seems to have little less drop at range.
