Looking for Reloading Data for .50 Beowulf - Any Tips?

Haha, I feel you, Lisa! I once lost track of what powder I was using and ended up with a very ‘unique’ round! Keep it simple and label everything.

Hey everyone! I’m new to reloading and specifically interested in .50 Beowulf. I’m struggling with inconsistent performance. Any tips?

Have you checked your OAL (overall length)? Too long or too short can affect performance significantly.

I had similar issues! I found that using heavier bullets helped with feeding problems. What bullet weight are you using?

I’m using 300 grains, but I’m open to suggestions!

300 grains is good, but try experimenting with different brands. I had great results with Hornady’s offerings. Just be patient and keep at it!

Is anyone else experiencing feeding issues with certain magazines? Some just don’t seem to work reliably for .50 Beowulf.

Yes! I’ve noticed that too. I switched to dedicated .50 Beowulf magazines, and it made a huge difference.

Don’t worry, reloaders often face these issues! It can be frustrating, but with practice, you’ll nail it. Have you tried different powders?

Thanks for the support! Any recommended powders for .50 Beowulf?

I love AA1680 for .50 Beowulf! It has given me the most consistent results. Give it a try!

Power to you! Just be careful - the last time I mixed up my beowulf and my reloading gear, I nearly reloaded a cannon! Just kidding, but good luck!

Haha! That sounds like a reloader’s nightmare! Thanks for the lighter spirit in this discussion.

Stay focused on your measurements and keep a log of your loads. It’s helpful for tracking inconsistencies over time!

Good idea! I’ll start keeping better track. Thanks for the advice everyone!
