I use mine for long-range shooting. It’s held up beautifully, even in rain. Just wipe it down afterward, and it’s good to go! No significant issues here.
Anyone experience barrel droop with their carbon fiber barrels? I’ve heard mixed reviews about that.
I’ve shot with mine often, and no droop yet! I think quality of installation matters. Make sure it’s properly fitted.

I’ve had a small issue with it overheating after a long day of shooting, but nothing catastrophic. Just had to let it cool down before shooting again.

It happened twice during summer. I think the heat really affects it. Still, I don’t regret the purchase; the precision is unbeatable!

I just use a mild soap and water to clean mine. No special products really needed! Just don’t get too aggressive with scrubbing.

A carbon fiber barrel and a traditional steel barrel walk into a bar… just kidding! But really, adoption can be a hill to climb for some. They’re not for everyone.

I’ve been using the Proof Research carbon fiber barrel on my rifle for about six months now. The weight reduction is fantastic, and it really helps with long treks in the field. The accuracy has been impressive too!

Definitely! I’ve left mine out in the rain and it showed no signs of corrosion at all. Just wipe it down afterward and you’re good to go!
One disadvantage I’ve noticed is the price point. They are significantly more expensive than traditional barrels. Is it worth it, considering the benefits?
