Advice on Non-Toxic Muzzleloader Bullets?

In general, I feel they’re similar up to about 100 yards, but after that, I think lead has a slight edge. However, I like the non-toxic aspect for the environment.

Absolutely! We all want clean hunting practices. Speaking of which, anyone tried using them in competitive shooting?

I haven’t tried them competitively, but I’d be curious to see how they stack up against traditional bullets in that arena!

I shot my friend’s setup, and he made a pun about ‘going green’—but honestly, they can be just as effective with practice!

Humor aside, it’s important for the hunting community to adapt to changes for sustainability. What’s the next step, like better materials?

I’m also looking to switch to non-toxic muzzleloader bullets. They seem more environmentally friendly! Does anyone know a good retailer?

Check out MidwayUSA; they have a good selection! I found some affordable options there.

I’ve noticed that non-toxic options can be a bit pricier. Are they really worth the investment compared to lead bullets?

Performance-wise, I’ve seen many testimonials praising their accuracy.

I agree, davega. I’ve been using non-toxic bullets for a while now. The accuracy is impressive, and I feel like it’s a better choice overall.

I’ll take your word for it! What’s the average price difference you’ve noticed between types?

From what I’ve seen, non-toxic bullets can be around 20-30% more expensive, but it varies by brand and type.

Yikes! That’s a chunk of change. Is it really that much better?

It’s a trade-off, Steven. You pay more for safety and environmental benefits. I think it’s worth considering!

You know, cost isn’t everything.
You pay more for safety and environmental benefits.
That’s a solid point! I’m all for sustainability.

Hey, don’t forget the humorous side: If we’re all shooting non-toxic, we might just end up with a bunch of angry deer instead of dead ones! Haha.

Haha! True, but I’d rather avoid the lead poisoning for both them and myself!
