I’m on the hunt for the best concealed holster for my Glock, and I could really use some help!
Looking for Comfort and Concealment
I carry my Glock every day, and I want a holster that makes it easy to conceal without sacrificing comfort. I’ve done some research, but the options seem endless. From IWB (Inside the Waistband) to OWB (Outside the Waistband), I’m trying to figure out which one fits my lifestyle better.
What Works for You?
IWB Holsters: If you’re using an IWB holster, what models do you recommend? I’m particularly concerned about how they feel while sitting or driving.
OWB Holsters: For those who prefer OWB, can you share your experiences? How well do they conceal under a jacket or loose shirt?
Material Preferences: I’ve noticed a range of materials from kydex to leather. Is one better than the other for comfort or concealment in your experience?
A Preference for Specific Models
Do you have any specific brands or models that have worked well for you? I’m looking for something that allows for quick access but also keeps my Glock secure during daily activities. I’m open to hearing personal stories or recommendations, even if they’re from trial and error.
Adjustability and Features
What about features like adjustable cant, retention, or quick-release? How important are these to you when choosing a holster?
Final Thoughts
Thanks in advance for any insights or recommendations! I appreciate this community and look forward to hearing your thoughts on finding the best concealed Glock holster that combines comfort, effectiveness, and practicality.
I find that inside the waistband (IWB) holsters are the best for concealed carry. They keep the firearm close to the body and are generally more discrete. Just remember to get a good belt to support it!
Has anyone tried appendix carry? I’ve heard mixed reviews about it. It seems like it could be comfortable if you’re sitting a lot, but I’m concerned about accessibility.
I have tried OWB and it feels more comfortable when just walking around. However, I find it challenging to conceal without a jacket. Anyone else feel this way?
I’ve had a positive experience with shoulder holsters. They distribute the weight evenly and I can wear them under a suit jacket. But they are not the most accessible for quick draws.
I personally think each carry style has its pros and cons, and it really depends on what fits your lifestyle. But if you’re going for discretion, IWB is hard to beat! Also, let’s not forget that training is crucial!
I agree with calvinsanchez! Kydex is great for a snug fit. But don’t overlook nylon holsters; they are lightweight and often more affordable. The convenience can’t be beaten!
I had an instance where my leather holster was so bulky it printed through my shirt. I switched to Kydex and felt like I was wearing air! Comfort and concealment are key。
