What’s the Real Deal? Stealth Gear Holster Review

Stealth Gear Holster Review

I’ve recently spent some time with the StealthGear holsters, and I wanted to share my thoughts and get your feedback too! For those who haven’t tried them yet, StealthGear offers a range of holsters designed specifically for concealed carry, and I’m curious to hear if anyone else has had experiences similar to mine.

Comfort and Fit

One of the first things I noticed was how comfortable the holster feels when worn, even for long periods. It contours nicely to your body and stays put. No excessive movement or shifting, which is a huge plus for concealed carry.

  • Breathable Material: The use of breathable materials helps manage sweat and keeps it from becoming uncomfortable during warm weather.
  • Adjustability: There are several points of adjustability, allowing you to find a sweet spot for your body type.

Concealment

When it comes to concealment, I have to say I was impressed. I carried a Glock 19, and it seemed like the holster was designed just for it. I don’t think I’ve ever had a holster that concealed this well!

  • Silhouette: The low-profile design does a fantastic job of hiding the gun under a T-shirt or light jacket.
  • Drawing Ease: Despite great concealment, I could still draw from it quickly when needed.

Comparing with Other Brands

I’ve tried a few different holsters over the years, and my experience with those helps me frame my review of StealthGear. Compared to IWB holsters from other brands, I felt that StealthGear offered a great combination of comfort and accessibility. Here’s how it stacks:

Holster Brand Comfort Concealment Ease of Draw
StealthGear ★★★★★ ★★★★★ ★★★★★
Crossbreed ★★★★☆ ★★★★☆ ★★★★☆
Alien Gear ★★★☆☆ ★★★☆☆ ★★★☆☆

Final Thoughts

Overall, if you’re looking for a holster that offers excellent concealment, comfort, and ease of draw, the StealthGear holsters are worth checking out. I’d love to hear your experiences if you’ve used them or what other holsters you think compete with StealthGear in these categories. Let’s discuss and help each other make informed choices in our CCW journey!

Looking forward to your thoughts!

I’ve been using the Stealth Gear holster for a few months now, and I find it incredibly comfortable for daily wear. It doesn’t dig into my side at all, which is nice. I’m a size medium, and it fits very well under most clothing.

That’s great to hear! I’m curious if the comfort holds up when wearing more fitted clothing. Anyone tried it with tight jeans or a dress? How does it perform?

I’ve worn it with both jeans and dresses, and it works surprisingly well! The holster stays in place and doesn’t bulge out, which I was worried about at first.

I’m a bigger guy, and the Stealth Gear holster still feels comfortable for me. I’ve had issues with other holsters feeling restrictive, but this one has been a game changer.

It’s nice when a product works for various body types! Does anyone find the clips easy to adjust, or have you encountered any issues with that?

Adjustment is easy, but I will say that too much movement can cause it to slip. A snug fit is essential for comfort. Just my two cents!

I absolutely agree with you! A snug fit makes all the difference. I’m about 5’10" and it sits well on my waist without feeling bulky. Overall, very supportive even during active days.

That’s super helpful! How does it perform in hotter weather? I’ve heard that some holsters can feel pretty sweaty.

In hot weather, it can get a bit sweaty, but not excessively. I’ve had worse experiences with other holsters. It breathes fairly well, which is a plus.

I think we should all just agree that no holster is perfect. The Stealth Gear is absolutely comfy, but yeah, it can get warm. Still better than most!

Haha, true! Is that why you guys are not wearing it to the beach? I mean, who needs a holster at the beach, right?

Exactly! Unless you’re planning to do some beach carrying, that might not be the ideal place for it. But for daily wear, I think it’s worth it.

Totally agree! I’m also reflecting on how many hours I can wear it before discomfort kicks in. Any thoughts?

I’ve been using the Stealth Gear Holster for a few months now, and I find it quite easy to draw from, even while sitting or driving. The accessibility is definitely a plus!

That’s great to hear! I was worried about accessibility when I’m wearing tighter clothing. Does it really stay put?

Absolutely! I’ve worn it under fitted shirts and it holds its position well. The retention is solid, making it practical for quick draws.

In crowded places, I found it a bit tricky to access swiftly. It might be a good idea to practice drawing discreetly before relying on it in real-world scenarios.

I agree with you, plittle. Drawing from a holster can become complicated when you’re in tight quarters. How often do you all practice?

Practicing is key! I usually practice drawing from mine every couple of weeks to maintain my proficiency.
