What’s the Best Trigger Upgrade for the PSA Dagger?

Looking for Trigger Upgrade Recommendations

I’ve been doing some research on the PSA Dagger and I’m particularly interested in upgrading the trigger. From what I’ve read, there are a lot of options out there, but I’m not sure which ones are actually worth it or if they really make a difference in performance. Here’s what I’ve gathered so far:

Trigger Performance

  • Consistency: Many users have mentioned how a good trigger upgrade can significantly improve the consistency of their shots. I want to hear from those who have actually made the switch!
  • Weight and Travel: I’ve come across trigger kits that adjust the weight and travel distance. What are your thoughts on this? Do lighter triggers help with accuracy?

Aesthetics

  • Looks: Okay, aesthetics are somewhat important to me too. If I’m going to swap out components, I’d like them to look good with my setup. Any recommendations on brands that offer both performance and style?

Cost-Effectiveness

  • Budget Options: Not everyone has a ton of cash to spend on upgrades. I’d love suggestions on the best bang for your buck when it comes to trigger enhancements. What have you guys tried that didn’t break the bank?

Compatibility with Glock Components

  • Gen 3 Glock Parts: Since the PSA Dagger is compatible with Gen 3 Glock components, are there any particular Glock triggers that you think fit well or work seamlessly with the Dagger? I want to ensure that whatever I choose will integrate smoothly without issues.

Other Tips

  • Installation Tips: If you’ve upgraded your PSA Dagger’s trigger, any tips on the installation process would be appreciated. I’m relatively handy but could use guidance.

So if anyone has experience with upgrading their triggers, please share your thoughts, experiences, and any resources. Thanks in advance for your help!

Looking forward to what everyone has to say!

I’ve been using the PSA Dagger for a while now. The stock trigger has a pull weight around 5.5 to 6 lbs, which is a bit heavier than I prefer. A lighter trigger really helps with precision shots.

I’ve noticed the pre-travel is pretty substantial. Once you get used to it, it’s manageable, but a trigger upgrade that shortens that distance could be game-changing!

I completely agree with thomas01! The pre-travel feels long, and while the pull weight is decent, minimizing over-travel would also help tightening up those groups.

Has anyone tried the Apex trigger for the Dagger? I’ve heard it really improves both the reset distance and overall feel. I’m curious to see if others have similar experiences.

I switched to the Apex, and it’s a noticeable difference! The reset is much shorter, which really enhances the follow-up shots.

For me, the PSA Dagger’s stock trigger felt fine initially, but after some use, the over-travel became more pronounced. Upgrading to a trigger with less over-travel helped me regain my confidence in my shots.

That sounds really tempting! I find that the reset on the Dagger can feel a bit spongy, which affects my rhythm during rapid fire.

I feel like the basic mechanics are decent, but there’s certainly room for improvement. A trigger that reduces both pre-travel and over-travel seems ideal for precision.

Just remember, a lighter trigger isn’t always better! It’s all about personal preference and what you’re comfortable with. Plus, if it’s too light, it can lead to accidental discharges.

True! A good balance is key. While I want a lighter pull, I also prioritize safety and consistency in performance.

I think we can all agree that the trigger is one of the most critical upgrades for the Dagger. What’s the funniest story anyone has about trying to install one? Haha!

I spent an hour trying to figure out a spring placement! I got so frustrated that I nearly called it a day! :joy:

Thanks for sharing those experiences! It seems like a trigger upgrade is almost essential for optimizing the PSA Dagger, especially for competitive shooting.

I’ve been using the PSA Dagger for a while, and while the stock trigger is decent, I really noticed a difference after upgrading to the Apex Tactical trigger. The feel is much smoother and the reset is shorter, which makes for quicker follow-up shots.

That’s interesting! I’ve heard good things about Apex too. How does it handle compared to the Zev trigger for the Dagger?

I personally prefer the Zev trigger. The break is crisper, which really enhances my accuracy. I didn’t notice much difference in reliability, but the feel is definitely better!

Have you tried the Overwatch Precision trigger? I’m curious to hear how it stacks up against the Zev and Apex options.

I haven’t tried the Overwatch yet, but I’ve heard it’s a solid choice. They offer a unique feel that might suit some enthusiasts better than others. If you like a softer break, it could be worth considering.

That’s a good point! The trigger feel really is subjective. I think the stock trigger is okay for beginners, but aftermarket is where the magic happens!
