What’s the Best .380 Handgun for 2023?

I’m on the hunt for the best .380 handgun for concealed carry in 2023. I’ve been considering a few options, but I’m struggling to figure out which models are truly worth it. I’m looking for something that’s compact, reliable, and easy to handle, especially for self-defense purposes.

Here are a few questions I have:

  • What are the top models available this year?
  • What features should I prioritize when making my decision?
  • Are there any specific brands that have a reputation for quality in this category?

I’ve seen a few reviews online, but I’d really like to hear from those who own .380 handguns. Your personal experiences and recommendations would be really helpful. Also, if you have links to any great reviews or comparison videos, please share! Thanks in advance for your insights!

I’m really curious about the Sig P238. I’ve heard it’s incredibly reliable and compact, perfect for concealed carry. Has anyone had experience with it this year?

I got the Sig P238 last month, and I absolutely love it! It’s lightweight, and the accuracy is impressive. Definitely worth considering!

I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Ruger LCP II. It’s small, but some users say it has a tough trigger pull. Anyone have a different take on it?

I agree about the tough trigger, Kathleen! I still think it’s a solid option for backup, but my main carry is the Glock G42. Way smoother!

I had a chance to handle the Glock G42, and it really felt good in my hands. Plus, I’ve always trusted Glock’s reliability. Good choice, Anthony!

You know, I think a lot of people overlook the Smith & Wesson M&P .380 Shield EZ. It’s super easy to shoot and great for beginners. Anyone else think it’s underrated?

Totally agree! I recommended it to my sister who’s new to firearms, and she’s been loving it! Great balance and easy to handle.

What about the Taurus Spectrum? I heard it’s affordable and comes in fun colors, but is it any good for self-defense?

I had my doubts about the Taurus Spectrum, but after owning one for a year, I find it reliable. Not the best for range, but it does the job!

I’ve got a .380 Browning BDA, and while it’s a bit heavier, the feel and accuracy are unmatched. It’s just not a pocket gun, but it’s great for the range!

Honestly, I can’t decide between a compact for carry or something heavier. I’ve been thinking about the Beretta 380 because I love the design, but I need practical advice here. Any thoughts?

The Beretta is stylish for sure, but if you want practicality, I’d lean towards something like the M&P Shield. It strikes a solid balance between size and firepower!

Can we all just agree that picking a .380 is a bit like choosing a pizza topping? Everyone has their own opinions, but at the end of the day, you just want something you can rely on! :joy:

Looking for the best .380 handgun can be tricky! I’d recommend starting with the Sig P238 for its compact size and reliability. What features are everyone prioritizing? Size or capacity?

I’m all about magazine capacity! The Glock 42 has a decent 6+1 and it’s lightweight. Size is important too, especially for concealed carry.

Has anyone tried the Ruger LCP II? I find it super easy to carry, but I’d love to hear opinions on its safety mechanisms. That would help with my decision.

I have! It’s great for everyday carry. Just be cautious with the grip; it’s slim but feels good in the hand. How does it stack up against others like the TCP?

For weight, I think the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380 is awesome. It’s a little heavier but has an integrated laser. Does anyone find that helpful?

The laser is nice for quick targeting! But with the extra weight, I worry about it being too noticeable when carrying. What do you think?
