Looking for Recommendations on P365X Magazine Base Plates

I’m currently on the hunt for some quality magazine base plates for my Sig Sauer P365X. I’ve seen a few options out there, but I’m not sure which ones provide the best grip and capacity enhancements. Here are some things I’m considering:

  • Material: Are there base plates made from more durable materials that offer better performance?
  • Capacity: What options are available for increasing the magazine capacity? I’d love to hear about any personal experiences with extensions.
  • Fit and Compatibility: It’s crucial that they fit perfectly without any issues. Any recommendations?
  • Community Feedback: If you’ve tried any specific brands, I’d appreciate your input. How have they worked out for you in terms of reliability and handling?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions! Thanks in advance!

Actually, Glock base plates might not fit well. The P365 has a unique design, and you may need to tweak them quite a bit.

I tried using base plates from the P365XL on my P365X, and it worked perfectly without any modifications! Highly recommend it.

That’s great to know! Did you face any issues with fit or feel?

There’s also the option of aftermarket base plates from brands like Taran Tactical—they fit well and add some flair too!

Are they really that much better? Any specific features you like?

Taran plates are awesome! They provide extra grip, and the colors are fun! Anyone try the Vickers Tactical base pads?

I’ve heard mixed reviews about Vickers. Some say they fit well, others say they slip. What has your experience been?

I haven’t tried Vickers, but I love my factory Sig base plates. They’re super reliable and fit snugly. Why risk aftermarket, right?

Good point, but aftermarket can sometimes improve comfort or even give you a style upgrade!

I’m new to all this, so any recommendations for a beginner? Do certain base plates work better if you’re doing a lot of practice?

For practice, I recommend sticking with what feels best in your hand. Comfort should be your first priority!

I’ve stuck to the Sig ones, but I’m curious if the modifications are worth it for aftermarket options. Is it really that hard to fit?

Some do require you to do a little sanding or cutting, but it’s generally not too bad if you have the tools!

A little DIY sounds fun! I might just dive in. Anyone had a hilarious disaster with base plate modifications?

I’ve been using aftermarket magazine base plates for my P365X, and I can definitely say they improve grip significantly. It makes all the difference during rapid fire!

That’s great to hear! Do you have a specific brand you recommend? I’ve seen a few options but I’m unsure which are worth it.

I recommend the Talon base plates. They add a bit of weight, which helps with handling, and they look awesome too!

I’ve read about those! How do they compare in terms of durability?
