I’ve been hearing a lot about the FN High Power stainless steel pistols lately and I’m really curious to learn more about them. Here’s what I’m looking for:
Specifications and Features
What are the main features that distinguish the stainless models from other variants?
How does the performance stack up against other popular handguns in its class?
Availability and Pricing
Are there specific retailers or websites where I can reliably find these pistols for sale?
What can I expect to pay for a new FN High Power stainless, and are there any good deals out there?
Community Insights
For those who own one: What has been your experience with it regarding reliability and overall performance?
How does it fare in recreational shooting or hunting settings compared to other models?
Any insights, personal experiences, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Looking to make an informed decision here.
I’ve been looking into the FN High Power Stainless variants myself. There are a few models, like the FN High Power MK III and the more recent ones. The MK III has great ergonomics and reliability!
The latest Stainless variants incorporate better sights and improved safety features. I personally prefer the newer models for that reason, but the nostalgia with older models is hard to beat!
Definitely! The newer variants tend to run a bit higher in price. You might find the MK III being a better value, especially if you’re okay with the classic features.
I’ve shot the MK III before and found it to be very reliable and accurate. The tactical models also have threaded barrels—a cool feature for suppressor users!
Some users mention the trigger feel can be lacking compared to competition models, but with a bit of tuning, it’s quite manageable. Yet, personal preference varies!
I love my FN High Power Stainless! For maintenance, I recommend using a quality gun cleaning solvent and a soft cloth to clean the exterior. You want to avoid harsh chemicals that can damage the finish.
Absolutely, @ericahernandez! And if you ever take your pistol to the range, ensure it’s cleaned right afterward. I always remove any carbon buildup immediately.
