Looking forward to hearing from you all!

I’ve been using the Ruger American Go Wild in 7mm PRC for about a year now, and I can say it’s incredibly accurate. I consistently hit sub-MOA groups at the range.

That sounds impressive! How do you find the recoil? I’ve heard the 7mm PRC can be a bit snappy.

The recoil is manageable, especially with a good muzzle brake. It definitely has some kick, but it’s not unmanageable for an average shooter.

I’ve read that it’s also good for various types of hunting, from deer to elk. What has been your experience in the field?

I’ve taken my 7mm PRC on a couple of elk hunts, and it performed flawlessly with good expansion on the hits.

That’s great to hear! Does it have good adaptability for different bullet types? I’m considering various loads for my hunts.

Absolutely, I’ve tried a few different loads and it handles them all well. Just make sure to find the right one for your needs.

I’m glad to hear that! How about the overall build quality? Is it as durable as it looks?

The build quality is solid, feels sturdy. However, I did notice some minor fit issues with the stock on mine that might not be universal.

A sturdy rifle is always a plus! Have any of you experienced issues with scope mounting? I’ve read mixed reviews.

Not really! I had no trouble, just make sure to use quality mounts.

I’m really interested in the 7mm PRC too! For ammunition, I’d recommend trying Nosler AccuBond or Hornady ELD-X as both have proven performance on big game.

Great suggestions, Curtis! I’m leaning towards the Hornady ELD-X for its ballistic coefficient. Has anyone tested it on deer?

I’ve read good things about the Federal Fusion bullets for 7mm PRC. They offer good expansion at longer ranges. Anyone have personal experience?

I’ve used Federal Fusion and had a great experience! Consistent accuracy and good knockdown power on elk.

I focus mainly on performance over brands, but I’ve had my eye on the Swift Scirocco II as well. It should provide excellent performance on wild game.

Exactly! Performance is key. I think we can agree that bullet construction matters too, right?

Absolutely, Barbara! I personally love how the Nosler Partition retains weight and penetrates well even through tough hide.

I hadn’t thought of that one. Can we ever have too many bullet options? It’s overwhelming sometimes!
