Looking for a Good Ankle Holster for Glock 27 - Any Recommendations?

I’ve been considering carrying my Glock 27 in an ankle holster for better concealment and comfort, especially during warmer months when I wear lighter clothing. I’ve heard mixed reviews about different brands and models, so I’m here to seek advice from fellow users.

What I’m Looking For:

  • Comfort: It needs to be something I can wear for extended periods without discomfort.
  • Accessibility: Quick access for defensive purposes is a top priority.
  • Retention: I want to ensure my Glock stays secure while moving around.

I’ve seen some options from brands like Galco and DeSantis that seem promising, but I’m curious to know:

  • What specific ankle holsters do you guys recommend?
  • Are there any features I should be particularly lookout for?
  • Any experiences with certain models that stand out?

Your insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I’m looking into ankle holsters for my Glock 27 as well. Comfort is key! I’ve heard good things about the Galco Ankle Glove.

I’ve actually tried the Galco, and it’s pretty comfortable for all-day wear. Just make sure to adjust it properly to avoid any irritation.

I’ve found that the nylon material in some holsters can get a bit irritating over time. Switch to breathable fabrics if you can. It makes a difference!

I second the recommendation for breathable material. My first ankle holster made my leg sweat a ton. No fun on hot days!

Exactly! I usually avoid heavy-duty nylon for my ankle holsters. It feels too rigid.

I personally love my Alien Gear ankle holster. The comfort level is impressive, and it has a good fit!

Great to know! How does it hold up during physical activity?

It’s pretty solid during my runs! I’ve worn it jogging for about 3 miles, and it didn’t shift at all.

Does anyone have experiences with ankle holsters for longer outings? I’m especially curious about stamina and comfort after hours of wear.

After hours of wear, I sometimes notice it gets a bit heavy. A lighter holster could be helpful for extended periods.

I’ve switched between a couple of brands, but the weight distribution really matters. I prefer ones with cushioning.

Agreed! I’ve also noticed a difference with cushioning. How do those leg straps fit?

Some straps can dig in, but I found that wide straps are much better for comfort. Always test it before buying!

I’ve seen some people joking about wearing them wrong and calling it a fashion statement. Not the kind of statement I want to make!

Haha, totally! You never know who will misunderstand our tactical needs.

For serious discussions, I think trying different options based on body type is important. What works for one might not fit others!

I’m on the hunt for a good ankle holster for my Glock 27 too! I’ve heard great things about the Galco Ankle Glove. It seems to have a nice snug fit and is made of quality materials.

I’ve been using the Galco for a couple of months now, and I agree! It’s very comfortable once you get it adjusted right, and it really conceals well.

Has anyone tried the Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 2.0 for ankles? I see mixed reviews, and I’m curious if it’s worth considering for the Glock 27.
