I’ve had my Smith and Wesson 3954 for a few years now. Overall, it’s incredibly reliable with no failure to feed or fire, even in harsh conditions. Definitely a solid choice!

I agree! The reliability is outstanding. I once took it to the range in pouring rain and it performed beautifully.

In terms of accuracy, I find the 3954 excellent for both target shooting and personal defense. It’s easy to control, and the sights are spot on!

That’s a great point! I also love how well it handles during rapid-fire scenarios.

I’ve had one minor reliability issue with mine, a failure to eject once, but it could have been due to the ammo. Overall, I trust it for personal protection.

I’ve never had the 3954 jam on me, but I’ve heard some people mention odd feed issues. It’s interesting how ammo choice can influence performance.

I think the grip is fantastic! It’s really ergonomic, which helps with control during shooting. Have any of you tried the extended magazines?

I haven’t, but I’ve heard they can improve accuracy even more. I might give that a shot!

You know, it’s almost too easy to shoot. My friends joke that I could hit anything with it—maybe I should shoot competitively! Haha.

That’s a good idea! The 3954’s accuracy merits some competitions for sure. What kind of competitions do you think suit it best?

I think it handles quite well, which is huge for any firearm. It feels balanced and allows easy transitions between targets.

True, fschneider! It’s also manageable for first-time shooters, which is a plus. My sister loved it the first time she shot it.

Overall, I feel the Smith and Wesson 3954 offers great value for its performance. It’s definitely a keeper in my collection!

I haven’t owned one, but I’ve tried a friend’s—and wow, I was impressed! Considering getting one myself after this discussion.

You should! It’s hard to beat the performance for this price point. Definitely worth it!

I’ve been using the Smith and Wesson 3954 for a while now, and I have to say, upgrading the grips was a game-changer! The rubber grips really enhance control and comfort during shooting.

What grips did you switch to? I’m looking for something that really fits well in the hand.

I recently added some night sights to my 3954, and they’ve made a significant difference in low-light conditions. Highly recommend checking them out!

That’s awesome! Any specific brand you’d recommend? I’ve been hesitant to invest in sights.
