I’ve had the chance to shoot the Weatherby 307 with 7mm PRC and can say it’s a beast! For ammunition, I recommend trying the Hornady Precision Hunter rounds. They’re accurate and have great expansion.

That’s awesome! What kind of groups are you getting? I’m considering this rifle for long-range shooting.

Bullet choice really matters! For reloading, I recommend using 168 grain ELD-X or 175 grain A-Frame for deer-sized game. They perform excellently at different ranges.

I’ll have to give those a shot! Any specific loads you found work best?

I’ve been working on handloads for the 7mm PRC. I found that RL26 powder and the 175 grain bullets really give impressive results! A good balance of speed and accuracy.

RL26 is great! I had some luck with it too, but have you tried anything with IMR powders?

When selecting bullets, pay attention to the twist rate of your barrel. The 7mm PRC typically prefers heavier projectiles, so choose wisely! It makes a significant difference.

Absolutely! I’ve seen some folks struggle because they didn’t consider that. It’s crucial for accuracy.

Just remember to always start low on your powder charge and work your way up! Safety first, especially with such powerful cartridges.

Right? Safety is key! But let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to make a kaboom now and then? Just kidding!
